Centro TORTUGA formalizes relationships amongst universities, research institutions, and marine scientists in research-oriented agencies, a collaboration that can provide student participants with a comprehensive exposure to the geosciences. For students who may have only seen one pathway forward to a science career, Centro TORTUGA will expose them to a variety of careers that could be open to them.
Our partners provide expertise in oceanographic research, higher education training, and mentoring both within and outside the academic setting. Through these partner, our cohorts will have access to a wide variety of field practices, academic classroom training, and experiential learning opportunities necessary for meeting our goals and objectives.
